I’m here to create a relationship with room for every part of your identity and experience, however challenging you may find those parts, and I will always meet you with compassion and authenticity.

My humanistic, client-centered, psychodynamic approach fosters a safe space for you to embark on a journey of discovery of your identity, positive change, and transformation.

There is always a path forward; we’ll pace ourselves appropriately and find it together.

My specialties are addiction and working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, New York City and New Jersey union members, gamers, and creative performing artists.

About Me

I come from an Italian and Spanish family, born in Queens and raised on Long Island. Growing up I learned the power and importance of compassion, community, and connection. I continue to live those values in NYC alongside my husband of fifteen years. I am an avid gamer and enjoy board games and table top role playing games.

I spent seventeen years working in the arts after graduating from New York University in 2002, first as a singing actor and then in academic arts administration, working with and mentoring students at LIU Tilles Center and Columbia University’s Arts Initiative. I spent two years volunteering with the Trevor Lifeline Suicide Crisis Hotline before returning to graduate school at Baruch CUNY where I earned a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. I am one of the select few who has returned to the program as an Adjunct Lecturer, teaching Ethics and Legal Issues for Mental Health Counselors.

I completed my internship at Mount Sinai’s Addiction Institute/St Luke’s Half Way House, counseling Intensive and Outpatient groups. After graduation, I accepted a full-time role at Inter-Care where I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the states of New York and New Jersey, as well as a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee. After four and half years I continue to work as a group counselor in Inter-Care’s after-care program. I follow the NYMHCA, OASAS & APA code of ethics.
